Sharman, Mary Beth and I went to a very old Vienna Restaurant for lunch. It was recommended in the Rick Steves' book. It was very good. The weather is still very hot.

Here I am at Mozart's grave. Actually they are not 100% sure if the remains are Mozart's. We went here after our morning class. It is still very hot in Vienna.

July 11-Melk Abbey

We took the train to Melk and then walked up to the monastery. It overlooks the Danube. We had lunch after our self-tour and then took a ship back cruising on the Danube. It was very hot again. The Naschmarkt is Vienna's most popular market. Located at the Wienzeile over the Wien River it is about 1,5 kilometers long.

We took a one day bus trip to Prague. It was very hot and we started at the top of the city and walked down for two hours. It was worth it because our tour guide on the bus was great. Long day.

Film Festival at the Rathausplatz

We went to the festival at the Rathausplatz for dinner. There are many different food booths. There was live music. The food was great. There are tables and chairs and real glasses and plates. The people are polite and there is no litter. We did not stay for the film which is shown on a very big screen at dark. We have class tomorrow.

Mary Beth (my roommate) and I went to the military museum today. Great way to spend the 4th of July. It was very hot again. I really appreciate my air-conditioned hotel. The museum had a fantastic audio guide. I learned a lot. Ryan and Kevin would love this museum. To find out more click on the title for a link.

July 2-We had a free group ticket to Vienna's largest art museum. It was great. We used the highlighted audio guide. There were quite a few Caravaggios. The paintings posted above are two of my favorities.
